CloudHub: Everything to Know About Clouds!!!!!

About

Altostratus clouds are a type of middle-altitude cloud that forms at heights between 6,500 and 20,000 feet (2,000 to 6,000 meters). These clouds are typically gray or blue-gray and often cover the sky in a uniform layer, which can obscure the sun. Altostratus clouds are composed of tiny water droplets and, in colder conditions, can contain ice crystals. Unlike the puffy, cotton-like appearance of cumulus clouds, altostratus clouds tend to be more diffuse and spread out. They are often associated with overcast weather and can indicate that a weather front is nearby.
